What is an eSIM?

An eSIM, or embedded SIM, lets you stay connected anytime, anywhere, without needing a physical SIM card. It works just like a traditional SIM but is built directly into your device. As long as your device supports eSIM technology, you can enjoy the convenience of instant connectivity.

Do I need to remove my primary SIM card to use NovaSim?

No, you don’t have to remove your primary SIM card. You can keep it in your phone while using NovaSim for data. Just adjust your phone settings to use NovaSim for data to avoid any roaming charges.

What if I run out of data?

You’ll receive a notification when your data is running low or your plan is about to expire. For some plans, add-ons are available. If you run out of data, you can easily purchase an add-on from our shop to top up your data. The additional data will automatically link to your main eSIM.

Does the eSIM support hotspot?

Yes, NovaSim supports tethering / hotspot.

Does the eSIM come with a local number?

No, NovaSim is a data-only service and does not come with a local phone number.

How many eSIMs can I have?

Currently, iOS allows you to store up to 10 eSIM profiles on your device, but only one can be active at a time. You can switch between eSIM profiles by going to Settings > Cellular and selecting the one you want to use. This feature offers flexibility, making it easy to manage multiple eSIM profiles and switch between different plans or carriers as needed.

Can I delete and re-install my eSIM?

In general, transferring your eSIM to another phone is not possible, and we do not recommend deleting and reinstalling it unless explicitly instructed by our support team.

Each eSIM has a unique identifier, making transfers difficult, and reinstallation is often unreliable across different phone models. However, some NovaSIM eSIM providers offer limited functionality for deleting and reinstalling eSIMs on the same phone, though this is not guaranteed to work on all devices. If you're unsure, it's best to contact customer support for guidance. Deleting an eSIM should only be done under our direct instruction or as part of troubleshooting.
